Rhodes: High-Speed Boat to Symi Island & Saint George’s Bay

2.High-Speed Boat to Symi Island & Saint George’s Bay

★★★★★★★★★★4.7 · 3,048 reviews · 6 - 9 hours · from $69

Take a high-speed boat from Rhodes to Symi, with about three hours to explore its pastel harbor, shops, tavernas, and narrow lanes. The 9:00 and 11:00 departures include a 30-minute swim at Saint George’s Bay. The 15:15 sailing offers a quieter Symi visit and sunset views but only a photo stop.

“Symi and St George's bay are breathtaking and the trip was amazing. Going by speedboat added to the sparkle of the day. The crew were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of time for jumping off the boat and swimming at st George's bay. We didn't find the seats particularly comfortable as they are very slim, but there were some sofa seats available. There is no room to put long legs under the seat Infront so arrive early if you need the few seats with more legroom”

“Symi is a beautiful island, well worth visiting. we could easily have spent longer there, and we had 4 hours on the island as our trip didn't include a swimming stop. panormitis monastery was fine. I had overlooked that this wasn't a guided stop and I would have liked that, as we didn't get any information about it.”

The roughly nine-hour outing includes the boat, an onboard restroom, and optional hotel pickup for an extra fee. Bring lunch money, a towel, warm layers, and motion-sickness tablets if needed.

“the experience as a whole is great, and symi and st george’s bay are beautiful. it takes around 2 hours to get to st george’s bay, and an hour of swimming when you get there which is a good amount of time. bring your own snorkel if you want to swim with one, as they only have woggles to give out. it is then around 30 minutes to get to symi town, which is stunning. 3 hours is enough time to have lunch and view most of the main street and little shops. it is then 2 hours back to rhodes. the only small issue i found was that after…”
